Anyone who's tried to navigate a course with more than a few coursepoints will probably remember having to juggle a tablet with the course points on it. Not anymore!

By popular dermand, new impulse panel has been added to the helm console for impulse flight management.

It allows you to load up a pre-plotted course (which would have been input into the system by a navigator) and display a scrollable list of its course points. Best of all, it maps those course points in 2D (X/Y plane) using the new impulse mapping module.

The panel will also help keep track of your progress by highlighting the target course point (the one you're currently navigating towards). As soon as you've reached that point, the highlight will automatically move to the next course point.

I configure the helm with this new panel on the left panel, replacing the TOE grid (which is now available on the forward viewscreen, right in front of the helm).
