The mission operations room has been upgraded along with the simulator so it can able to handle the more complex missions now possible.

The mission operations team manage simulation missions, which can include everything from flying opposing vessels to triggering the appearance of strange objects or phenomena in space for the crew to figure out. One of the more sadistic aspects of mission operations is introducing vessel system faults to simulate battle damage or test the sim crew. They can also generate and receive external communications when necessary.

Mission operations uses traditional keyboard and mouse input for greater flexibility across less screens, as mission ops team is typically much smaller than the sim crew and has a greater range of functions to manage. Currently mission ops has one row of workstations, but additional rows will be added as required.

The large centre screen incorporates a quad-split multiview so that read only screens such as system monitors, maps, communications feeds or video feeds from the sim can be displayed. Additional screens can also be added here as required.

At the other end of the room the broadcast operations team has a workstation to manage recording and live streaming of simulations.
