Interesting press about the first publicly acknowledged electromagnets capable of 20 telsas: https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5gezm/mit-scientists-report-major-advance-in-fusion-energy

Also interesting that these are "high-temperature" superconductor magnets ("high" being relative - meaning they don't require temperatures approaching absolute zero to operate). This brings them closer to the "room-temperature" magnets developed for Endeavour's reactors using alien-derived QCD (quantum chromo-dynamic) techniques.
